The Sailor Neopets RPG

SNRPG: Other Characters

The sailors and their pets aren't the only characters in this story - there are plenty of others, all of whom will be profiled here in the order that they were introduced.  Some friends, some foes, some neutral, all integral to the story in their own ways.

Fyora the Faerie Queen

The beautiful and wise Fyora inherited the position of Queen several decades after the original Sailor NeoPets were created.  She has led the Faeries of Neopia through many crises, including invasion and war;she also remembers the chaos that ensued when the world was on the brinkof a faerie war, and is determined not to let that happen again.

Fyora is the guardian from afar of today's sailors.  She keeps tabs on their progress and has the Uber-Faeries ordered to help and protect themin any way they need.  Despite her small size, she can overpower almost any creature in Neopia; she spends most of her time in the Faerie Castle, and oversees the Hidden Tower.

Kaen

This petite brunette Earth Faerie was designated to be the specific guardian of the Sailor NeoPets, and Leslie (Sailor Lupe) in particular.  She was chosen because of her expertise in history and legend, and because her sphere aligned well with Leslie's gardening hobby.

Because of her small size and ability to turn invisible, Kaen can go just about anywhere undetected; she can also use the basic Earth-sphere abilities, though she isn't much help in a battle.  Her most valuable resource is her vast knowledge.  Although she is by no means omniscient, she's the best source of information out there except for a few of the oldest and wisest (and most reclusive) faeries, or perhaps certain locked chambers in the Faerieland Library.

Kaen is usually good natured, but if she's ever grumpy or angry the quickest way to cheer her up is to feed her a few pounds of Fruity Faerie Fingers.

PallaMouse

One of Leslie's classmates, PallaMouse has three Myncis (blue J_ci, green CinnaStick, and blue PallaMynci) and an Aisha (blue Trinity_Empress)in her little family.  She doesn't have a NeoHome, but literally lives at her job at the Mystery Island Trading Post, in an unused hut.  (She had a lot to do when the Trading Post backed up in Y3, and didn't cometo school for a week.)

PallaMouse occasionally gets mixed up in the escapades of the Sailor NeoPets, and Trinity has a latent talent for prophecy which will pop out at the oddest times.  For example, upon first meeting Ji (Sailor Shoyru), she announced that Ji was "one of them" with "the giant wings".  However, she can never remember prophecies after she makes them.

Kelly

Kelly is a mysterious raven-haired individual.  She has a rather mean outlook on life, as her parents died when she was a child.  But she has several things to her advantage: her cunning, her strength, and her knowledge of the Sailor Neopets' true identities (she hid in a bush while they were de-transforming and took plenty of pictures).  She uses the latter to bribe the senshi to do her bidding.  However, occasionally she will come to their aid.

Her history was a sad one. Kelly grew up in a wealthy, nuturing family.  At the age of six, her parents died in a car crash, and she was sent to an orphanage in Terror Mountain.  Her life went downhill from there.  The other kids in the home were afraid of her, especially since she gave the guy 5 years older than her a black eye and a broken rib for calling her names.  When she was twelve, she left Terror Mountain to start on her own.  She was also given her inheritance (500 million neopoints!) to help her.  She adopted a Grundo, which she named 6_SlothStinx_9 and painted faerie.  At the start of the series Kelly is a 16-year-old Junior at Neopia Central High, where she keeps her reputation as the toughest kid in the school.

The Space Faerie

She used to live amongst the stars, but visited Neopia to save it from Dr. Sloth's first attack.  Now the Space Faerie resides in the VirtuPets Space Station, rarely venturing out.  This far from the planet, however, her power is incredible; she can create shields of impregnable strength and channel the power of the stars themselves to attack, and knows everything that goes on within the Station.

In personality the Space Faerie is much like Fyora, only older.  She has eons of experience and wisdom.

Tora

A girl with a unique past, Tora grew up with a pack of Kougras on Mystery Island. Having not too long ago been discovered and introduced into civilization, Tora knows very little of the Sailor NeoPets, who are the stuff of urban legends and rumors that she was never exposed to. Not having had a really close friend before, Tora was astonished when she managed to befriend Aviva, also known as Sailor Blumaroo, and would find herself getting swept upin the Sailor NeoPets' adventures whether she liked it or not...

Luname and Silvacheek

Luname (pronounced luu-nuh-may) and her brother Karl are the seven-year-old twin children of Cheryl, the member of the Adopt-a-NeoPet Guild who was most responsible for raising Leslie.  After a rather tragic episode caused by (wouldn't you know it) Sailor Chia and company, Cheryl was badly hurt, and Luname, along with her pet Silvacheek, ended up temporarily in Leslie's care.

Luname is a very sweet little girl; she likes dresses with bows and ribbons and playing with dolls. She's also a big fan of slushies - any flavor, any time, anywhere.  Silvacheek is an energetic little creature whocan be a handful sometimes.  Although Luname can usually handle Silvacheek, it's up to Leslie to handle her - which is easier said than done.

Adam Walker

No, not the Adam.  This is Adam Walker, a student at Neopia Central High who works at a branch of the Slushie Shop in Happy Valley.  He once looked after Luname while Leslie helped get rid of a Grunka asSailor Lupe (she didn't tell him that, of course), and Unirus has a bit ofa crush on his handsome blue Uni, Zephyr_Cumulus.  His other pets arethe gruff but solid Zephyr_Stratus, a red Skeith; and a little green poofballof a Pteri.

Adam has long red hair and an irresistable slow smile, and when he's not working, in school, or asleep, you'll probably find him snowboarding.  He's a very earnest and open guy, but can be petulant; and although he talks (and complains) plenty, he has to be prodded to actually get up and do anything - like, say, ask Leslie on a date . . .

Celeste Anala

As a daughter to creators and owners of Faerieland's top five star resort "Seikouuki", Hitomebore Celeste Anala is a prime example of upper class indifference. This is another sort of apathy though, one that does not ignore the less rich Neopians, but one that tends to shun others altogether. She is cynical, critical, and ratiocinative of people her age, passing them off as self absorbed and unappreciative of what they have. However, the combination of her strong sense of pride but quiet tongue and self concern makes for a personality type similar to the people she detests most. Her recent odd and wayward friendship with Bird Sin Gayle surpasses this, though the bond is more an understanding rather than strong. She is seventeen and attends the Faerie Arts Academy as a senior. She delves into music branch of the magnet program, but is more interested in the battledome. She is a member of the Academy's battle team and is one of the top performers. That and her inheritability lands her a popular reputation on the school's a-list inner circle. Celeste treats this with nonchalance as it is and instead concerns herself with boosting her battledome stats and personal worth.
Celeste is overly confindent and opinionated, but secretly obsesses over what others think of her and how she fits in. She goes by her middle name, "Celeste", rather than Hitomebore as to not draw attention to her otherwise apparent foreignness. Another way she attempts to blend is by concealing her congenital disease (heterochromia iridium) which causes her eyes to be two different colors. (The right one is a natural dark brown, the left is a bright - almost white - blue.) She wears a matching contact in her left eye to correct this. Other than these few things, Celeste comes off as a very proud person when it comes to her achievements, but not of her wealth.

Margie Speagel

Margie Speagel is the biggest nerd in Neopia Central High School.  She thinks everyone is her friend and her nose is always stuffed.  She is a very clingy person and basically follows you around everywhere until you tell her you hate her.  Margie's real name is Margaret.  She has an older brother, Rob, who is the captain of the football team. She has red curly hair, glasses huger than her face, braces, an inhaler, freckles, and can usually be seen wearing a plaid school uniform, which is from her old school, the Lost Desert Academy.

Drawn by VirtuosaChase Bennington

Chase Bennington, minor, drug addict, and fugitive. Chase was arrested on numerous accounts for smoking under age and graffiti-ing public property. It is a mystery how she got into Inigmah with a record like that but she did.Chase smokes. She’s addicted to it… It’s not like she doesn’t try to stop…She can’t… She needs help… And soon… Graffiti? It’s bold and morbid. It chillsthe soul to the bone if that doesn’t move you her photography will. Why isit that drug addicts have such a twistedly wonderful view of the world? Herpictures capture what words don’t want to say… The darkness in everyone’s heart… The world crumbling for someone… Or absolutely nothing… Strange isn’t it how a picture of nothing can move someone to tears?

On a lighter note, Chase lives with her roommate, Brian Welch. They have a more-than-friendly relationship. Brian is quiet, the exact opposite of Chase, unless he’s playing his guitar or with his friends: Jonathan Davis (he’sbeen trying to get her to stop smoking), James “Munky” Shaffer (her best friend), Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu (he taught her to play the bass guitar), and Dave Silveria (he’s just there).

Jenna

Jenna is a very nearly brilliant girl who nevertheless values her social standing more than her integrity.  She was ostracized in elementary school for her brains until she got sick of it and, at the beginning of middle school, confronted the popular girls with an offer: she'd do their homework if they upped her status.  Since she can be just as manipulativeas Abbie or Gami, she never got taken advantage of in the course of thatdeal.

Today Jenna is one of the most unique members of the "popular" crowd, and the one most sympathetic to the plight of the "freak parade."  Don't expect much help from her, though.  She values her status more than anything, and won't stick her neck out for our heroines if it means she'll lose face, having deigned to skip grades in favor of staying with the popular crowd with whom she has an edge.

The Lab Ray Scorchio

The somewhat eccentric mastermind behind the Lab Ray, which can only be found by using a map and is notorious for changing the colors, breeds, and even genders of pets as well as raising their stats.  He's an anthropomorphic scorchio whose main interest is science for science's sake.

This makes him occasionally difficult to categorize - "other character" or "bad guy"?  In truth, he at times can be both.  He was the creator of Kara Lynn (Sailor Buzz) and, later, her "twin" Diane - a bona fide villain.  He also sent Diane to kidnap Kara Lynn, but not for any nefarious purpose; he just wanted to get more data on her, since she's an experimentof his.  Still, it was a kidnapping.  He's not so much immoral as amoral.

Nevertheless, his outlook has changed a bit.  After being remarkably sympathetic to Ji's (Sailor Shoyru's) case of unrequited love, he acted a bit more like a father figure - albeit a very odd one - to Kara Lynn. His eccentricities and occasional amorality are made up for by a quirky sense of humor, and you can't deny that he's a genius.  He seems to be on the side of the good guys now, though he could easily team up with Dr. Sloth on a project such as building a better ray gun.

James Keresaspa

The older brother of Sailor Shoyru, James is the temperamental oppositeof his touchy sister.  He's calm, thoughtful, and scholarly, slow to anger and prone to thinking before he speaks.  The only distinguishing factor in his appearance is the striking resemblance he bears to book-sensation-turned-to-movie-star Korry Batter.  He's academically brilliant and loves to learn, so he's taking classes at the college level, where he's run into fellow prodigy Zelda Amaryou.  Surprisingly enough, he has a bit of a wild side - which only shows up when he's in a place like a club such as the one where he met Zoe Amaryou.  (He doesn't yet realize that Zelda and Zoe are different people.)

Paul

He wears drab brown clothing in a semiconscious effort not to draw attention, but Paul's entire being seems crafted not to draw attention.  He has mousy brown hair and plain brown eyes that hide behind large glasses; his posture is unassuming and he speaks very little.  It's partly natural shyness, and partly a desire to avoid being picked on or persecuted on account of that horn, among other things.

For Paul, like Ko-Kira (Sailor Scorchio), is a scorman: a human/scorchio crossbreed.  But while she was transformed from a normal human by oneof Dr. Sloth's experiments, Paul's parents were a human and a scorchio.  This is seen, not surprisingly, as dangerously deviant by the general populace, and thus Paul has never had the slightest chance of fitting in; he's perfectly happy to settle for simply not standing out.

So it was shocking when, having caught wind of Ko-Kira's solo Scorman Rights campaign, Paul decided to actually investigate it.  Even more uncharacteristically, he then found himself agreeing to join it when Naomi and Melony proposed to take the concept to new heights of publicity.  (He's also found out about their sailor identities, though he doesn't know Ko-Kira's yet.)  Paul's strong sense of justice is taking on his terminal introversion, and only time will tell which will be victorious.

Tamae

Tamae Oguchi is a strange person, to say the least. Not much is known about her by the general public other than she's an orphan, lives with her grandfather, and has a blind sister. It might be a good thing that's all they know - you see, Tamae is a professional thief,and her granddad is teaching her ninjutsu, no less. ^_^;

She's very charming, though doesn't have any friends,as the long, thin scar across her nose puts most unaccepting people off a little bit. Besides that small flaw, she's quite pretty, though not gorgeous like Kara Lynn. (Her mother was Caucasian, and her father Oriental.) She's good at history, though abhors math and science (as well as scary movies).

Descended from a long line of ninja from Mystery Island, she moved to Neopia Central when her parents were killed in an accident (the same one she got her scar in). She was only an infant then, though, so barely remembers her mother and father.

Rumoured to have been in cahoots with Meerouladen and Hermeedjet, she hates the cops but is kind to those who deserve it. Be wary if you don't know her well, though - she'll steal from anyone she doesn't care about. ^_^

Ariel

Ariel comes from a dark family that even she herself is not fully aware of. She has no knowledge of either of her parents (who they are, if they're alive, etc.) and knows only of her twin brother, Ryder. Recently she and Ryder were adopted by different families - she on Mystery Island and Ryder in Neopia Central. She lives with her Neopets and her adoptive parents.

It has only been recently that Ariel has decided to try to clean her life up and stop doing drugs, etc., although she still succumbs occasionaly. Currently, along with school, she is undergoing outpatient rehab, the conditions of which restrict her from drug use, demands that she not sneak out of her home, and requires attending meetings and such twice a week.

Her goal is to come clean, learn to accept her new family situation and still get to spend time with Ryder, and eventually learn more about her past and where she comes from.

Shido Chikabi

An attendant of Neopia Central High. Kind of a lecher and eccentric but will really pull it all out for his friends. He also is a little of a know-it-all, and a slacker on jobs he hates, but if you give him a task he likes he’ll do it 120%.

Shido usually seems calm but is hotheaded underneath; if someone makes him boil he loses his calmness and wants to attack in a rage. This happened before when someone disrespected the closest thing to a family other than his neopets. He is a dreamer which explains his name's meaning: “Vision Fire”.

Verrry flexible, he once fit himself into a backpack. (Made a nice 50,000 NP off of that bet.)

Samantha Cresena

Samantha Cresena is the first female look-a-like to come to NCJH. She's in eigth grade and is nuts about Korry Batter. She claims to be the 'true' fangirl of him. She enjoys photography and reading very much, and I mean VERY much. She lives in a rather mid-class family with two older siblings and her mother(which runs a shop in the Marketplace.) She has one hyper, very tall Lenny(Reyalia) and one shy little bookworm writer of a Aisha named Kamoriahi. Eventually, she'll also have a rather snobby little Xweetok named Morrikash and a sweet little Yurble named Ikumiai.

Her family is rather nuts, though. Her older brother is a ninja-like pansy named Cross and her sister is a rather pretty waitress named Charlotte. And don't forget to mention her mother is OBESSED with her shop, making sure it's perfectly clean and spotless.

Cassandra Faulkner

The first thing you can say about Cassandra is that she doesn't like people very much.

Her parents are divorced, and so she travelled around Neopia with her father, the famous archeologist Gregory Faulkner. Growing up in the ruins of ancient cultures left a deep impact in Cassandra's personality that most people fail to understand. She spent most of her time alone, strolling around in the jungle, desert or whatever environment there was. Mrs Faulkner, the offspring of a very rich family in central Neopia, avoids every contact with her former husband and her daughter, so the only thing Cassandra receives from her is the monthly alimony check.

She would never have left her father, but he insisted that she finally visit a school after years of private tuition. And so she reluctantly moved to Central Neopia and used her mother's money on building a neohome that suits every need of her four pets: AstraUranus, the hypochondriac Uni; Lynx_Hemingway, the clumsy Kougra; YangTse_Ying, the grumpy old Techo; and, eventually, AstraZaphira, the vivacious Ogrin.

Cassandra just began her studies in Botany at the Inigmah Center for Special Skills, and for now, everything in the "civilized" world seems really strange to her...
