Series One Episode Twenty-Six Aviva tossed her wild brown hair over her shoulder. Her sapphire eyes shimmered narrowly in pain. Twilight had settled upon Neopia. This of all beautiful times, was Aviva's least loved part of the day. Her arms hugged her legs as she sat atop a deserted emerald-green hill. The view of Neopia Central twinkled and sparkled under the falling sun. Thoughts were blank. Everything was silent until a handful of a blumaroo pounced his way into Aviva's presence. "Momma," he chirped, squirming forcefully into her lap. "What is it, Little Rebel," Aviva said lovingly. Though her baby blumaroo's real name was RebelionCharge, she called him Little Rebel because of being such a finicky baby. "I'm hungry and 1fire_faerie1 won't eat anything Anisiali gives her!" Aviva sighed. Of course there was the exception of 1fire_faerie1 being just as picky. "What seems to be the problem?" Aviva demanded as she entered the four room neohome. Firefaerie was going nuts. Her eyes were blazing red and crossed with her horns pointed and ready to strike. Her owner's expression was numb and her arms were crossed. Anisiali pointed distinctively at her younger sister. "I swear it wasn't me!" She exclaimed with innocence. The red acara was still going mad, but sat still under a humming growl. "She won't eat omelette or chickayo!" "I can't blame her on the chickayo thing," Aviva sympathized. "Now come on Fire, there must be something you want." "I. Hate. Omelettes," the acara replied hoarsely. Once again her owner went on her I-really-don't-see-the-point-in-this expression before snatching a caffeine free neocola (^_^) and a Queen Faerie burrito. She waved to meal seductively in front of Fire's nose before her eyes turned translucent blue and devoured the morsel. "Better?" "Much!" Fire exclaimed happily. Anisiali rolled her eyes as she herself ate a Water Dog and another neocola. "Are you hungry, Little Rebel?" Aviva asked. "Nope," the petite blumaroo replied. "Then I think it's time for bed." Rebelion yawned in approval but Fire and Anisiali's faces fell. Aviva frowned. "Now." The shoyru and acara exchanged glances before reassuringly sprinting off to their bedrooms. "Another day, another villain, another truckload of make-up work for school," Leslie groaned as she slumped off to class. By now this was her policy, considering 99.9% of the time it would be true. The extensive amount of senshi was joyous, but the challenge of stopping a megalomaniac from overruling the world had become more chaotic (Considering yes, it is the Chaos Faerie). Her eyes grew heavier each day and falling asleep in class was simpler then 1 + 1. Coming from a different direction but at twice the pace was the floppy-haired Aviva, who was almost late for her morning gymnastics. She took gymnastics before 1st period class and archery after 7th. Her book bag was slung sloppily over her shoulder, her bow under her arm, and her arrows bouncing snuggly in the quiver. Her black shoes made enough racket as all of supplies. Lingering students stopped to stare at her attire: the old Neopian High uniform no one had to wear anymore. Aviva apparently didn't care. Caught desperately off guard, Aviva pounded smack into Leslie, sending both of them flying different ways. Aviva's archery supplies fell to her side, but the book bag tore and scattered her many textbooks. "I-I'm soooo sorry," Aviva whispered meekly. Leslie looked curiously at the new girl. But of course, no mistake of "Lupe-tail hair" and a "newbie" could go unnoticed very long. "My, my," Gami said surpressing her unthoughtful laughs. "A newbie and a freak. That's the best pair of friends anyone could plan out." This was perhaps followed by Leslie's remeniscing of a certain sailor who quit on the job. For a while Aviva ignored her willfully. Leslie knew what was coming. The prophecy of a popular snob never failed. "And what's with the uniform? Cunning eh'? You're probably a new teacher's pet, by the way that you dress and all." "Just ignore her," Leslie tipped as she helped her pick up her articles. But the taunting didn't stop. Aviva snapped one of the scattered arrows between her fingers. She stood up and turned to face the laughing girl. "I'm sorry you're so mean," Aviva remarked. A smile lit her illuminated face. Gami looked at her bubblehead friends taken aback. "Who do you think you are?" she replied sternly. "I'm Aviva, NOT so pleased to meet you," she smiled packing up her arrows. "No last name? You must be an orphan then," was all that Gami said before turning promptly to leave. "I'm sorry they treated you like that. I think your hair is neat!" Aviva turned. "Is it true," Leslie said standing beside the new girl. "are you an orphan?" Aviva held her smile cautiously. "Truthfully I don't know," she sighed. "but it's nice to meet someone like you along the road. What's your name?" "Leslie." "I'm Aviva." "Are you new here?" "Well," she started, "yes aaaaaaand no." Leslie shot her a puzzled look. "I've been working around Neopia Central to fund the security for my NeoHome." Before they could chat more the pre-class activities began. "I've gotta go to gymnastics," Aviva informed Leslie. "Why don't I meet you after school?" "I have archery." "Can I come to watch you?" "Sure!" "Great!" Leslie concluded, "I'll see you in the gym wing later!" It turned out Aviva was more then what she appeared. Unlike her solitude self from the morning, by archery she was ditzy but concentrated on her work. Shot after shot after shot she continually nailed the target at the end of the archer corridor (the archery class) "Leslie," someone hissed secretly. She changed her attention from Aviva's arrows to the rest of the senshi (detransformed) who were standing in the frame of the open double doors. "Who's she?" Zelda mouthed. No one heard the reply because the class ended abruptly at that point. "Hello there," Aviva said getting more calm. She slung her quiver on her back and held her bow in her arms. "Aviva, I'd like you to meet Ji, Kami, Zelda, Melony, and Zoe. Girls, this is my new friend Aviva," Leslie grinned. Something fluttered in her ear. It was Kaen. "Leslie," she whispered, "don't do anything stupid about the Sailor Neopets, okay?" She nodded in confirmations as the group of friends headed out the door. As they walked along, little known to Leslie the Sacred Chalice had ideas of its own rather than stay in the sub dimensional locker. It "accidentally" bounced its way out onto the paved street. "Hey Leslie," Aviva said, stopping the gang, "is this yours.?" Her voice drifted. The heavily decorated glass's top slid open, revealing the unexpected (suspected to us) presence of a limish-teal and orange wand. "Woah. this is so beautiful." She grew trance-like as she removed the winged pen. "Eh' heh heh.well at least we found another senshi, girls," Ji announced through clenched teeth. Even as astonished as Aviva was, she held onto every word the other girls said. "You're a Sailor Neopet," Leslie explained when they reached her house. Zelda sat next to her as the other girls crowded around. "No surprise there," Zoe added, "we meet a new one at least everyday." "Our motive is to destroy Sailor Chia, Dr. Sloth, and the evil Chaos Faerie," Zelda put in, "Oh, and you're going to need a wrist communicator." She withdrew a few of what looked like wrist watches from her purse. "You're telling me you keep those in your purse now?" Melony laughed. Zelda replied with a shrug as she fixed the band to fit on Aviva's wrist. "But what Sailor Neopet am I?" She asked staring thoughtfully at the watch. "I can find out for you," came an oddly familiar and dreaded, cold voice. Sailor Chia laid a hand on Leslie's shoulder. "Hey Lupe-tail head, pick up another weak link?" She cackled. "Who are you?" Aviva asked disgustedly. "Oh, I see now, you're an airhead like Gami!" Chia went red. There was another odd remeniscence of the missing senshi. "You'll pay for that!" She yelled punching open the front door. Outside she revealed a small army of heavily built robos, all lined up in a symmetrical pattern. "Girls, prepare to transform!" Leslie instructed. "Do as I do, Aviva!" "Lupe Neo Power." "Zafara Neo Power.." "Acara Neo Power.." "Shoyru Neo Power.." "Moehog Neo Power." "Peophin Neo Power." "Usul Neo Power." "Um, Blumaroo Neo Power." "MAKE-UP!" they said unanimously! Each went through their normal fuku changes. Aviva, transforming into Sailor Blumaroo, was surrounded by falling morning glories that bounced as they fell. The flowers were followed by twirling teal ribbons that wound tight against her body. When the ribbons were so tight that it was overwhelming, there was a faint POP! and revealed her sailor fuku. Nothing was severely different from any other Sailor Neopet uniform, excluding her high-heeled shoes with anklet wrappings. "Girls!" Sailor Lupe ordered, "We need to get outside to the robos." Unfortunately, Sailor Chia stood in the doorframe snickering. "No one leaves this house, alive at least," she boasted bringing her hands into an all too familiar pose. "Chia." Sailor Zafara blinked. "We don't have time to overcome her, everyone, down!" The entire senshi looked at her reluctantly, knowing that not counter-attacking would ruin Aviva's house. "Chaos." The black clouds were forming around her body, outlining her like fog. Sailor Blumaroo/Aviva looked at the dodging senshi questioningly. "Awww..c'mon, we could beat her!" She smiled bobbing her brownish-blonde hair. "No takers?" She giggled bringing her arms above her head. "Blumaroo." "Ruin!" "Ball!" The attacks were finished at once, of course revealing the heavy energy Sailor Chia let loose, and one of the stranger attacks a senshi would posses. A semi-transparent blue orb formed in her palms, solidifying as she chunked it forward. Stranger still, it bounced on everything it touched so that it would continue in a same, accurate path. Her hands guided the attack by moving in the same directional patterns. It hit Chia's attack just as hard as Chaos Ruin hit it. The collision sent a small tremor through the house, causing several items to fall off shelves and tables. "Gah!" Chia shouted unexpectedly. She lost her balance when the floor shook, knocking her concentration of Chia Chaos Ruin. Grabbing her chance Sailor Blumaroo jerked the ball forward, punching the enemy in the gut. "Stupid Atla..." Sailor Chia whispered through her teeth. Sailor Blumaroo's eyes sharpened narrowly at her hoarse words. Sailor Lupe rose to her feet followed by the staggering senshi only to see Sailor Chia's image fade digitally away. "No use," Sailor Moehog spat pointing towards the doorway. Outside the robos were beginning to charge forward on full attack. The crew jumped outside in a sudden attempt to save Aviva's house and neopets. "They're so big!!" Sailor Usul chimed at their larger-then-normal size. Indeed, the strangely arranged robots were twice their size. "There!" Sailor Lupe instructed. She indicated that there were four main robos. Each one was slightly larger then the army was already and standing at one of the four directional points; North, South, East, and West of the army. "I say we attack," Sailor Peophin offered flatly coming forward. "Peophin Splash!" The beam of powerful water shot at the robos, though unfortunately, the four equipped leaders created a dome-like shield over the charge. Peophin blinked. "That cuts my plans." Zafara laughed. "HAHAHAHA!" She laughed hysterically at her sibling. "Shoyru," Sailor Lupe added, "can you carry one of us above the army so we can fire a sky attack?" The winged senshi nodded fervently at the order. "Who goes first?" she asked. "I will," Sailor Blumaroo volunteered. "While Shoyru holds me up for the attack, you guys can attack at the base." "They'll never know what hit 'em!!" Usul giggled in agreement. By then Blumaroo was already high in the air, Shoyru struggling to hold the girl. "Why...*cough cough*..do you...*cough *...weigh so...much?" Shoyru panted. Her wings flapped against her shoulders which were already tired from carrying Aviva. Zelda unfortunately heard Ji's rude comment-turning into mentally slapping herself. Sailor Blumaroo apparently disregarded the account. She'd rather let lose her anger on the robo droid things, or whatever they were. "Blumaroo Ball!" she chanted. The atomic sphere formed in her hand before darted swiftly downwards. Nodding in agreement, the remainder of the gang slid their attacks at the leading robos. There was great disorder and commotion as the defenses hit. Withing all the Neopian Sailor attacks, the robots dropped their guard and were left with defeat. Following a long and extreme metallic explosion, the senshi cheered their winning. "Whew!" Zoe sighed sliding down to rest upon the ground. "You said it," her sister chimed sitting next to her. As Shoyru landed hesitantly to the ground, Blumaroo sprang to Lupe's side. "What in the name of Neopia is going on?" She was anticipated and fully of joyful energy. Her smile brightened. "Well.it kinda goes like this..." Not being interrupted by a Sailor
Chia attack this time, Leslie and the others were able to explain twice
as thoroughly as before.
