Series One Episode Twenty-Five Christmas Special It was a Friday afternoon and Brooke and her track friend Aikouka Burusesuno were running laps together. “So, Aikouka, I’m having a Christmas party next week? You wanna come?” “Sure, I guess, if I don’t have any plans.” “Cool! I’ll send you a real invitation in the mail so you can get the information, okay?” “A’ight!” The coach blew his whistle at the girls, “Faster! You girls are turning into slugs over there!” “Say what?” Brooke yelled back. She picked up so much speed, she covered a mile in a minute and she almost flew off the ground. “Take that, Coach!” She stuck out her tongue. Aikouka caught up with her shortly after, also being a fast runner. It was an ordinary Saturday afternoon in Neopia. Aikouka went out to her mailbox to receive her Neomail. She carried the stack of Neomail back to her Neohome. When she stepped inside, she noticed a red envelope on top of the stack. Maybe it's a Christmas Neocard or maybe it’s Brooke’s invitation! Cool! "What's that?" JupiterShinozaki, a.k.a. Shino, her Bruce, asked. "It's an invitation!" "To what?" "To Brooke's Christmas party!" “That should be fun!” “I’m definitely going. What should I get Brooke? Oh! I’ll get her...! But, first, I should call her and tell her I’m coming.” Aikouka picked up the phone and dialed Brooke. Brooke answered quickly with an enthusiastic greeting. “Hi! Hey! Hello! Hola! Bonjour! Konnichiwa! Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! Happy New Year! Hi! Hi! Hi! Hi! This is Brooke! Hi! Hi! Hi!” Aikouka chuckled, “Merry Christmas to you, too, Brooke. It’s Aikouka.” “Hi, hi, hi, Aikouka! So are you coming to the party?!?” “Yep.” “Yay! Thankies! ‘Bye, ‘bye, ‘bye!” “’Bye, Brooke.” Aikouka hung up. “Shino, I’m going shopping now. Would you mind staying here for a few minutes?” “Nope. Have fun!” “Thanks, Shino!” Aikouka locked the door behind her. She trampled through the snow, humming “Coventry Carol” all the way to the Chocolate Factory. Aikouka walked in and bought a package of Baby Bottle Pops. Then she walked into the Toy Shop and bought a Rainbow Coloured Boom Box. When she got home, she wrapped the presents. Aikouka said to Shino, “It’s the night of Brooke’s party. See you later, Shino.” “’Bye, Aikouka.” Aikouka walked to Brooke’s Neohome. She knocked on the door. It was flung open with a loud “wham!” as it hit the outside wall of the Neohome. “Hi, hi, Aikouka! Merry Christmas, Aikouka!” “Hey, Brooke.” “We’re going caroling tonight! Won’t that be fun!” “Merry Christmas, Brooke.” Aikouka shoved her gifts in Brooke’s hands. “Aw, thanks, Aikouka!” She ripped the wrapping open like a savage hyena. “Yay! Baby Bottle Pops! And... what’s this? A Rainbow Coloured Boom Box?!? Oh my gosh! It’s just what I wanted! Now I can listen to my M*YNCI CDs! Thank you sooo much, Aikouka! Thankies! Hee hee!” Brooke promptly stuck a Baby Bottle Pop in her mouth and began sucking on it. “So, who else is here?” asked Leslie as she stepped into the foyer with Brooke. “My friends.” “So, that would be... you, me, Leslie, Kami, Zoe, Ji, Zelda, Melony, Jody, Tammy, and Naomi?” “Yep, yep, yep!” “So when are we going caroling?” “Now!” Brooke replied as she shoved a Christmas songbook into Aikouka’s hands. Then she yelled, “C’mon, you guys! Get your lazy booties off the couch and let’s go caroling! Fun, fun, fun!” The rest of the girls came running into the foyer. “Hey, Aikouka!” they chorused. Brooke shouted out as she stepped outdoors, “Our first song is ‘Silent Night!” She led them down the roads until they reached the house of Mrs. Filmore, the math teacher of several of the senshi. When she opened the door, the girls burst into a ragged, a capella, but presentable chorus: Silent night, holy night,

Aikouka mentally noted that Brooke had a pretty good singing voice. She, herself, liked to sing and could also sing well for she was in the chorus at school. “Now, no more serious songs for a while! Then one foggy Christmas Eve, Santa

Right after they finished, a girl jumped out of the bushes. “Merry Christmas, girls!” giggled the girl mockingly. “Abbie!” Abbie was in her Sailor Chia fuku. “So you want to fight?! I’ve also got a Hisslady and a Devilpup with me!” “Lupe...” “Usul...” “Zafara...” “Peophin...” “Acara...” “Shoyru...” “Moehog...” “JubJub...” “Quiggle...” “Wocky...” “...Neo Power, Make Up!” they shouted together. Shoyru, Usul, Zafara, Peophin, and Acara went to take on the Hisslady and the Devilpup while Lupe, Moehog, Buzz, JubJub, and Wocky started attacking Sailor Chia. Aikouka was very confused. “Wait, you guys are Sailor Neopets?!? What’s happening?” Lupe replied, “Yes!” Suddenly, the Devilpup sprang over the attacking senshi straight at Aikouka. She swung at it with a blunt object that had suddenly appeared in her hand. When it fell back, she looked at the object - it was the Sacred Chalice. The top fell open revealing a henshin pen that was blue and aqua, the colors of an Electric Bruce. Aikouka grabbed the pen and yelled the first words that came into her head: “Bruce Neo Power, Make Up!” When she came out of her transformation, Aikouka was in a sailor fuku, in the Electric Bruce colors. Then she followed Lupe. “Usul Bite!” “Peophin Splash!” “Zafara Flame!” Usul, Peophin, and Zafara took care of the Hisslady. Then they joined Shoyru and Acara to help them take care of the Devilpup. “Acara Tumble! Acara Tumble! I can’t do it by myself! You guys, help me!” Acara yelled. Shoyru yelled out to Zafara, Usul, and Peophin, “Get on my wings! Shoyru Hover!” Usul, Quiggle, Acara, Peophin, and Zafara got on her wings and they flew above the now-confused Devilpup. “Peophin Splash!” “Zafara Flame!” The Devilpup was now defeated along with the Hisslady. They joined the rest of the team to attack Sailor Chia. “Lupe Lunge!” “Moehog Kick!” “Wocky Pounce!” “Acara Tumble!” “Usul Bite!” “JubJub Fuzz!” “Peophin Splash!” “Quiggle Squirt!” “Zafara Flame!” Sailor Bruce shouted out the first words in her head, "Bruce Jive and Electric Sword!" Chia went dizzy and Bruce slashed her fuku with a sword made of electric
blue energy. The sword vanished once the attack was over.
With that, she teleported away. “Well,” said Sailor Bruce, as she faded back to Aikouka, “that was interesting. Who was that girl?” “Yeah,” said Sailor JubJub, “Good job, Sailor Bruce. That’s Sailor Chia. She’s evil.” The others faded back to themselves. Brooke gave a “Woohoo!” and continued to babble. “Yay! We beat Chia! Nyah nyah! Ha ha! Let’s sing ‘We Wish You A Merry Christmas’ and then go back and eat Christmas cookies and Christmas candy canes! All right!” The girls launched into song. We wish you a Merry Christmas;

Brooke exclaimed, “Now let’s go home and eat!” They did just that and when Aikouka left, everyone wished her, Brooke, and everyone else a Merry Christmas. “See you at track on Friday, Aikouka!” “Yeah, Merry Christmas, Brooke!” When Aikouka got home, she brushed her teeth and crawled into her bed. “Merry Christmas, Shino.” “Merry Christmas, Aikouka.” Aikouka fell fast asleep, exhausted from the night’s adventure, and hoping that tomorrow would be a wonderful Christmas. |
